Equal possibilities for everyone
Hello everyone! We are average citizens of incredible city – Kryvyi Rih. Our city is one of the longest cities in Europe. It`s great, but….it is also a problem.
The centre of our city has a lot of beautiful places. There are cinemas, theatres, gyms, exhibitions etc. But we live in the most remote corner of the city. Ok – be ready to spend all day and a lot of money https://goo.gl/maps/nL6TcGbV6zv. Do you want your child to participate in any cultural event? Wait a second… I am here not to whine. We are active and healthy (thank you very much), but there are a lot of people with special needs and they HAVE TO take a taxi (which is very expensive) to get to a hospital.
There is only one qualified child traumatologist in Kryvyi Rih, and many parents don`t have possibility to deliver their children to him, because they cannot transport a child in wheelchair in a bus or «marshrutka» (60 km) https://goo.gl/maps/FJ1XDdcRdh42. You can find an ophthalmologist and an oncologist but you must drive 40 km. https://goo.gl/maps/eWFWRgJBhz32
Public transport is not adapted for people with disabilities. It is impossible to put the wheelchair in a bus or trolley. There is no straight route to any of places I`ve just told you about.
That is why we are here. We are volunteer group of charitable foundation "Ozhin". We are the residents of the southern part of the city, the district Ingulets. http://kryvyirih.dp.ua/inguletskiy_rayon
What do we ask for? We have a strong faith in our society, and we believe that we can change the country. Our organization asks you for a help. We need to buy a special transport for the disabled people.
We need to buy a specially equipped vehicle to actualize our project. We`ll do the rest of work ourselves. There are a lot of volunteers and other good people around.
